Our Philosophy
At BEF, we believe in Progressivism and social reconstructionism. With a focus on exploratory, experiential learning, learners are supported in developing problem-solving and critical thinking skills, as well as social skills. Learning is typically collaborative, and focuses on social responsibility, community service and lifelong learning.
For the social reconstructionism, the predominant focus will be on social problems such as climate change, poverty, violence, and educating children so that they are equipped to tackle and solve those problems. Prioritised area of learners’ development include problem-solving skills and social justice awareness and education.
